RE: The tariff classification of a game from China.

Dear Mr. Krueger:

In your letter dated April 13, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Cranium, Inc.

The game is identified as “Sounds of the Seashore” and is described as a game activity using matching and memory skills. The game package includes a battery operated “seashell” audio player, an illustrated game mat, 13 picture cards and rules sheet. The sample will be returned at your request.

The applicable subheading for the “Sounds of the Seashore” game will be 9504.90.9080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Articles for arcade, table or parlor gamesOther: Other: Other, Other.” The rate of duty will be free.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
