RE: The tariff classification of a men’s knit pullover garment from Indonesia.

Dear Mr. Gregory:

In your letter dated November 11, 2005, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample will be returned.

Style 9156 is a men’s pullover garment constructed from 60% cotton, 40% percent polyester, drop needle interlock knit fabric that measures 28 stitches per two centimeters counted in the horizontal direction. The garment features a rib knit mock turtleneck; short, hemmed sleeves; a half moon at the rear neckline; and a straight, hemmed bottom. Your specifications indicate that the garment will also have a rubber logo on the right sleeve.

The applicable subheading for Style 9156 will be 6110.20.2065, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTS), which provides for: sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: of cotton: other: other: other: men's or boys'. The duty rate is 16.5% ad valorem.
