RE: The tariff classification of Zinc Phosphate from China

Dear Mr. Chivini:

In your letter dated September 29, 1995, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The applicable subheading for the Zinc Phosphate will be 2835.29.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for phosphinates.....and polyphosphates:... Phosphate:... Other:... Other. The rate of duty will be 4.1 m percent ad valorem.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
