RE: The tariff classification of a girl's pullover and a pair of girls' shorts from Malaysia.

Dear Mr. Lall:

This classification decision under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) is being issued in accordance with the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).

DATE OF INQUIRY : January 31, 1991

DESCRIPTION OF
MERCHANDISE : The submitted samples, style 609, are a girl's, 65 percent polyester, 35 percent cotton, knit pullover and a pair of girls', 65 percent polyester,
35 percent cotton, knit pants. The pullover has a rear zipper opening, a knit collar, long sleeves, a napped interior, elasticized sleeve cuffs, capping at the collar, and a ribbed waistband. The pants have a fully elasticized waistband and a hemmed bottom.
