Automated header editing

Today when I was posting my FAQs, I screwed up and left the "Follow-up To:"
line out of the headers of two of them. I currently use a Mac running
Nuntius over a PPP dialup line. Editing those message headers using Nuntius
is rather tedious, and I have a hard time doing everything just perfectly
every time I post. I have two questions:

1. What is the upshot of my leaving off the "Follow-up To:" line? Will I be
in the dog house with the RTFM guys for a month? Or have I screwed up the
*.answers newsgroups by failing to keep follow-up messages out of them?

2. Is anyone aware of a Mac program which will prepare my FAQ headers
automatically for posting by Nuntius? Please don't mention Applescript,
because, although I am a highly experienced Mac user, I have no idea how
Applescript works.

Thanks for any info.
