RE: The tariff classification of Liquid Corn & Callus Remover (Item # A058KA00301), from China

Dear Mr. Crago:

In your letter dated January 10, 2008, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The subject product, Liquid Corn and Callus Remover consists of 17% salicylic acid in a collodion solution containing 18% alcohol, 53% ether and 12% water. It is contained in a 5 fl ounce bottle packaged for retail sale along with 3 non-medicated corn cushions.

The applicable subheading for the Liquid Corn & Callus Remover and the non-medicated corn cushions will be 3004.90.9145, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Medicamentsconsisting of mixed or unmixed products for therapeutic or prophylactic uses, put up in measured doses (including those in the form of transdermal administration systems) or in forms or packings for retail sale: Other: Other: Other: Dermatological agents and local anesthetics." The rate of duty will be free.
