RE: The tariff classification of men’s woven pants from Cambodia.

Dear Mr. McGuigan:

In your letter dated September 11, 2007, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of Paceman A.G. Inc. As requested, your sample will be returned.

Style PLM#00215393 is a pair of men’s pants constructed from 55% polyester, 45% cotton, woven fabric. Style PLM#00215393 features a flat waistband with five belt loops; a fly front opening with three metal button closures; a metal button closure on the waistband; quarter pockets at each side; a small coin pocket inside the right quarter pocket; two rear patch pockets; and hemmed leg openings.

The applicable subheading for Style PLM#00215393 will be 6203.43.4010, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for men’s and boys’ trousers, . . . and shorts (other than swimwear): of synthetic fibers: other: other: other: other: trousers and breeches: men’s. The rate of duty is 27.9% ad valorem.
