RE: The tariff classification of a textile bracelet from China.

Dear Ms. Shih:

In your letter dated June 9, 2007, you requested a classification ruling. The sample will be returned to you.

The submitted sample, Style F4682.BLA (C8563.BLA), PAH07 Velvet Cuff Bracelet is a textile bracelet made of woven 70% cotton/30% polyester velvet fabric. The bracelet is approximately ¾” wide with a hook and loop closure. The textile bracelet with identical fabric content will also be imported in Styles F4682.SIL/F4682.BLU (PC8563.SIL/PC8563.BLU).

The applicable subheading for the applicable subheading for Styles F4682.BLA/F4682.SIL/F4682.BLU/ (C8563.BLA/PC8563.SIL/PC8563.BLU) will be 6217.10.9510, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Other made up clothing accessories; parts of garments or of clothing accessories, other than those of heading 6212: Accessories: Other: Other, Of cotton.” The duty rate will be 14.6% ad valorem. The textile category designation is 659.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
