RE: The tariff classification of Vtech “Double Vision” Notebook for Kids, Item #72500 from China

Dear Ms. Brumley:

In your letter dated June 12, 2007, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The sample submitted, Vtech “Double Vision” Notebook for Kids, consists of an interactive laptop computer for children 6 years and over. The computer can be connected to a TV for viewing preprogrammed activities and games. The games and programs are pre-loaded into plastic cartridges that can be inserted into the computer and removed based on the activities the child is playing.

The applicable subheading for the Vtech “Double Vision” Notebook for Kids will be 9503.00.0080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Tricycles, scooters, pedal carsother toysparts and accessories thereof Other. The rate of duty will be free.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
