RE: The tariff classification of printed advertising signs from an undetermined country.

Dear Ms. Legg:

In your letter dated February 9, 2006, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted illustrations and descriptions pertaining to two products used for promotional purposes in retail stores.

The first item, identified as a “brand sign” (ART663), is a 22” x 28” rectangular sheet of paper printed with an outdoor scene accompanied by the logo for a particular line of apparel. The second item, identified as a “brand tech sign” (ART665), is a 7” x 11” rectangular sheet of paper printed with promotional product information, brand logo and an outdoor scene. Both products are supplied with mounting hardware (e.g., clips, hooks, string) to facilitate placement on walls or hanging from ceilings.

The applicable subheading for ART663 and ART665 will be 4911.10.0080, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other (than certain enumerated) printed trade advertising material. The general rate of duty will be Free.

Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).

A copy of the ruling or the control number indicated above should be provided with the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If you have any questions regarding the ruling, contact National Import Specialist Carl Abramowitz at 646-733-3037.

Sincerely,
