RE: The tariff classification of a child’s costume from Columbia.

Dear Mr. Burns:

In your letter dated June 28, 2006, you requested a classification ruling.

The submitted sample, style 48649, Cinderella Costume consists of a dress. The dress is made of woven polyester and nylon fabric. The front of the bodice has embellishments and trim. The multi -layered skirt is made of see through nylon with embellishments and a layer of netting.

The costume is well made with a finished neckline, styling and embellishments.

      The applicable subheading for the Cinderella Costume, style 48649 will be 6204.43.4040, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Women’s or girls’ suits, ensembles, suit-type jackets, blazers, dresses, . . . Dresses: Of synthetic fibers: Other: Other, Other: Girls’. The duty rate will be 16% percent ad valorem.
