RE: The tariff classification of glass Christmas decorations from China.

Dear Ms. Aldinger:

In your letter dated June 12, 2006, you requested a classification ruling.

You have submitted samples known as “Spun Glass Figurine in Blue”, identified as assortment number 945756. The decorative hand painted spun glass figurine comes in two assorted styles. The first style is a snowman holding a decorated Christmas tree. The second style is a snowman holding a lantern and an evergreen tree. The front of the snowman has a scene that depicts houses, trees, snow on the ground and Santa in his sleigh with wrapped Christmas presents being pulled by his reindeer.

The applicable subheading for the spun glass snowman figurines, assortment number 945756, will be 9505.10.1000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides forarticles for Christmas festivities and parts and accessories thereof: Christmas ornaments: Of glass. The rate of duty will be free.
