RE: The tariff classification of a child’s apron from China.

Dear Mr./Ms. Stellner:

In your letter undated letter you requested a classification ruling.

The submitted sample, child’s style DKSA-04 (PC8448AP) Girl Stylist Apron is made of woven 100% cotton twill fabric. The waist style apron has three pockets at the front and a self-tie at the waist and reaches to just above the knee of a size 3T mannequin.

The applicable subheading for the Girl Stylist Apron, style DKSA-04 (PC8448PC) will be 6211.42.0081, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for "Tack suits, ski-suits and swimwear; other garments: Other garments, women’s or girls’: Of cotton: Other." The rate of duty will be 8.1% ad valorem. The textile category designation is 359.
