RE: The tariff classification of key rings from China

Dear Ms. Whitley:

In your letter dated April 20, 2006, on behalf of Limited Too, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The merchandise consists of two styles of key rings. Item number BTCK022A is a steel split wire ring attached to an ornamental star made of blue and white plastic beads. Item number TKL00167 is a steel split wire ring attached to a decorative flat green plastic frog. Both items will be used to hold keys.

The applicable subheading for the two key rings will be 7326.20.0070, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other articles of iron or steel, articles of iron or steel wire, other. The rate of duty will be 3.9 percent ad valorem.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
