Dear Ms. Bauman:

In your letter dated December 1, 2005, you requested a classification ruling on behalf of Dr. Leonards Corporation. The provided sample will be returned as per your request.

Style 59749 is a woman’s full-cut slip constructed of a 80% polyester 20% cotton woven fabric. The full-length slip features raschel lace-like trim at the rounded neckline and arm openings, side seams, and a hemmed bottom.

The applicable subheading for Style 59749 will be 6208.11.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Women’s or girls’ singlets and other undershirts, slips, petticoats, briefs, panties, nightdresses, pajamas, negligees, bathrobes, dressing gowns and similar articles: Slips and petticoats: Of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 14.9 percent ad valorem.

Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. The text of the most recent HTSUS and the accompanying duty rates are provided on World Wide Web at http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/.

Style 59749 falls within textile category designation 652. Quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes.
