RE: The tariff classification of two drawer organizers from China.

Dear Ms. Morrell:

In your letter dated November 10, 2005, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The two samples provided with your letter are compartmented dresser drawer organizers used to hold change, keys, jewelry and other small items. Both drawer organizers (Style numbers S62BG108A and S62BG107A) consist of a cardboard core covered with plastic sheeting on the bottom and sides. The compartments have foam padding and textile fabric lining. The drawer compartments are separated by wood dividers. Style S62BG108A measures 20.5 centimeters by 20.5 centimeters by 4 centimeters. Style S62BG107A measures 36 centimeters by 20.5 centimeters by 4 centimeters. As you requested, the samples will be returned.

The applicable subheading for the dresser drawer organizers will be 3924.90.5500, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUSA), which provides for tableware, kitchenware, other household articles and toilet articles, of plastics, other, other. The rate of duty will be 3.4 percent ad valorem.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
