In your letter dated April 15, 1999, you requested a tariff classification ruling for the above products which are considered herbicides.

The applicable subheading for DPX-F5384 (Chemical Name - Methyl-2-[[[[[(4,6-Dimethoxyprymidin-2-YL)Amino]-Carbonyl]Amino]Sulfonyl]Methyl]Benzoate), DPX-E9636 (Chemical Name - N((4,6-Dimethoxypyrimidin-2-YL)Aminocarbonyl)-3-(Ethylsulfonyl)-2-Pyridinesulfonamide), DPX-L5300 (Chemical Name - Methyl-2-[[[[N-(4-Methoxy-6-Methyl-1,3,5-Triazin-2-YL)Methylamino]Carbonyl]Amino]sulfonyl]Benzoate), DPX-V9360 (Chemical Name - 2-(((((4,6-Dimethoxypyrimidin-2-YL)Aminocarbonyl))Aminosulfonyl))-N,N-Dimethyl-3-Pyridinecarboxamide) and IN-A8947; DPX-A8947; A-8947; JS458 (Chemical Name - N-[[4,6-Dimethoxy-2-Pyrimidinyl)Amino]Carbonyl]-1-Methyl-4-(2-Methyl-2H-Tetrazol-5-YL)-1H-Pyrazole-5-Sulfonamide) will be 2935.00.7500, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTUSA), which provides for sulfonamides: other. The rate of duty will be 10 percent ad valorem.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
