RE: The tariff classification of toy parts.

Dear Ms. Wood:

In your letter dated March 29, 1999, you requested a tariff classification ruling in behalf of Todays Kids of Booneville, Arkansas.

The submitted samples consist of a tee ball stand, net for the goal, and a logo medallion. The net is made of nylon, the stand of a polyethylene, and the medallion is made of resin.

The merchandise is part of a sports center which is more conducive to play than for competitive purposes.

The merchandise will be imported in bulk and included in retail packaging with other components.

The merchandise will be cleared through the Port of Dallas.

Your samples are being returned under separate cover.

The applicable subheading for the three items will be 9503.90.0070, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Other toys;..... Other: Other toys..... .Parts and accessories. The rate of duty will be free.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Section 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).

A copy of this ruling letter should be attached to the entry documents filed at the time this merchandise is imported. If the documents have been filed without a copy, this ruling should be brought to the attention of the Customs officer handling the transaction.
