RE: The tariff classification of a costume from Taiwan

Dear Mr. August:

In your letter dated Oct. 27, 1998 you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The item is packaged in a polybag with a photo insert showing a model dressed in the costume. Your sample is returned as requested.

Item #H1030 is the same as the item above except is is packaged on a hanger with a photo insert.

The applicable subheading for items #1030 & #H1030, Mistress Devil Costume will be 9505.90.6000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for Festive, carnival or other entertainment articles,....:Other: Other The rate of duty will be free.
