RE: Fiber content correction of women's knit wearing apparel.

Dear Ms. Cheung:

We refer to a District Ruling Letter, PD B80993, which was issued to you on February 3, 1997.

In that ruling, the fiber content of Style number 06431, a woman's knit pullover, was stated as 45% silk, 30% polyester, 25% cotton. In subsequent correspondence, April 8, 1997, you indicated that the fiber content of this style was supplied incorrectly and that the correct fiber content is 45% silk, 33% polyester, 22% cotton. No other changes have been made to the garment. The classification, duty rate and textile quota designation will not change (6110.90.9078/6%/639).

A copy of this amended ruling is being issued to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).

If you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please contact National Import Specialist Mike Crowley at (212) 466-5852.
