RE: The tariff classification of an infant's and toddler's jumper from Sri Lanka.

Dear Ms. Murphree:

This is to amend NY ruling 816862, which assumed the jumper and bodysuit were to be imported and sold together.

We now understand that the jumper and bodysuit are, in fact, imported separately, and merchandised separately. We also understand that the jumper, which you identify as Style 477097, is made of cotton blue denim fabric.

The requestor elects a ruling on the jumper only.

The jumper, in infant's sizes newborn to 24 months, is classified in 6209.20.5050. The jumper, in toddler sizes 2 to 4, is classified in 6211.42.0060. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Copies of this supplemental ruling are being provided to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs.

If you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please contact National Import Specialist Bruce Kirschner at (212) 466-5865.

Sincerely,

Roger J. Silvestri
Director
