RE: The tariff classification of a jacket and a pair of shorts from Nepal.
Dear Mr. Daly:

In a letter, sent to us from your office, dated August 30, 1993, it was stated that a boys' woven jacket, Style 551-2, and a pair of boys' woven shorts, Style 555-2, would be manufactured in Kathmandu, Nepal, India.

We refer to ruling letter 889924, which was issued to you from New York on September 27, 1993 which indicated that the country of origin for both garments would be India. In a subsequent letter dated December 28, 1993, you brought to our attention the fact that the country India was incorrect, and stated that the correct country of origin should have been Nepal. All other information remains the same.

Copies of this supplemental ruling are being provided to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs.

If you have any questions pertaining to this matter, please contact National Import Specialist Bruce Kirschner at (212) 466- 5865.

Sincerely,

Jean F. Maguire
