RE: The tariff classification of Unicide U-13 from Switzerland.

Dear Mr. Cohen:

In your letter dated November 1, 1990, you requested a tariff classification ruling.

The applicable subheading for Unicide U-13, which is N,N"- methylene bis [N'-(1-hydroxymethyl)-2,5-dioxo-4-imidazolidinyl]- urea (CAS# 39236-46-9) will be 2933.21.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for hydantoin and its derivatives. The rate of duty will be 6.7 percent ad valorem.
