Whirlpool Washer Model # GST9679PW1

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

The whirlpool washer model # GST9679PW1 is in my opinion your average washing machine. This model says it is commercial grade super capacity quiet washing machine. It has thirty seven cycles, eight temperature settings, does five different load sizes and has six fabric settings. I will admit you can get a lot of cloths in the washer but as far as getting them to come out clean that really is not a reality.

This washer claims to be able to do 10 bath towels in one load. Well I have only ever been able to get 6 towels in a one load. As far as this washing machine being a quiet washing machine. I do not think so. I can hear the washing machine running all the way at the other end of the house. So when the kids are napping please do not think you will be able to get the laundry done.

The biggest problem with this washing machine is the bleach deposit. There is a funny shaped area they tell you, you must put the bleach in and it will release when needed for that wash. Well it does not always release in the white load because on MANY occasions I have opened a load of color cloths to find bleach spots everywhere. There is no way to know that the bleach was still in the little reserve because when you pour it in it does down where it should be released when it is time for that load.

I guess the only things I can say about this washing machine is that it will clean your cloths if you do not overload it and it does have a number of different temperature and fabric settings. For the money I would go ahead and just buy a standard washing machine because spending the extra money on this model is in my opinion not worth it.
