ProForm 590HR

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The ProForm 590HR is worth the bang for the buck and is an excellent machine for the newcomer to the fitness game as well the veteran fitness guru. This treadmill makes walking, running, or jogging fun.

The design of the treadmill is sleek and effective. An included fan will keep you cool while you are running on this beast. The running deck is quite comfortable due to insulation. The machine is also fairly quiet at all speeds. And let us not forget the informative LCD display helps you track your progress while you are working towards your fitness goal. You also can save space when storing since the machine is foldable. It was also fairly easy to assemble and there is an adaptor for an IPod.

This machine comes with four heart rate controlled programs and a chest strap that monitors your heart rate. There are pre-sit eight programs in addition to the four heart rate controlled programs that you can use to reach your fitness goals. You also have the option of a one year download for 20 other iFit programs that you can load onto the treadmill.

Customer reviews are mixed. One customer loved the machine and the other couldn't use the machine due to damage and poor customer service. There seems to be a trend when ordering from Amazon.com where shipments arrive damaged. I would recommend picking up the treadmill directly from the store to avoid this issue. I have had no problems with the machine. My choice over the ProForm over other brands was simple; it was cheaper and offered me the features that I needed. The machine costs about $600 and comes with a two year onsite warranty.

Pros
Low cost
Easy to assemble
Interactive training features
Chest strap that monitors heat rate

Cons
None
