Panasonic Flatbed Inverter Microwave

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

Panasonic now has a new microwave model in which they have used the fresh technology of flatbed cooking. The cooker in most microwaves is in the side of the oven which is why there is a turn table inside the microwave. It must rotate the food so that it is affected by the side cooker and the food cooks evenly. The cooker in this new Panasonic microwave is underneath the microwave which means that the food can simply sit on the bottom of the oven and the food will cook evenly, constantly, and consistently. That means no more icy centers of your food or parts of your meal that are far too hot while the rest feels chilled. The rearrangement of the interior of the microwave oven also allows for more space to accommodate a larger variety of dish shapes and sizes.

This microwave oven is approximately 1100 watts in power, has a holding capacity of 27 liters, and has several cooking features such as cooking fish, cooking rice, frozen reheat, auto reheat, and auto defrost. It also has a timer and clock setting. The light of the clock setting is said to be reasonably dim so as not to blind anyone at night as has been a complaint of competing microwaves. All of these features are accessible through easy touch buttons. Panasonic has also taken into consideration curious little fingers by implementing a child safety feature as well.

Cleaning microwaves has been a seething topic among aggravated oven owners. It has been looked upon by many for a long time as a major chore, but Panasonic has made cleaning much easier. The inside of the microwave is sleek, slippery and non stick which means that a simple wipe down will do the job saving you loads of time. Competing microwaves range anywhere from $150 to $600. This one is reasonably priced. Depending on what store you buy it from it can cost just under $200 or about $230.
Though this new Panasonic microwave is a fairly good microwave, some users claim that the door sticks. That's one of the first thing people check for when buying a microwave which means quite a blow for Panasonic. In addition, it is large in size and heavy to move to clean the counter underneath.
