This coffee maker has a removable water reservoir for easy filling, it comes out smoothly, and securely locks back into place.
The coffee-filter basket has an area on top that holds a water filter. The water filter can remove up to 97% chlorine, depending on your water conditions, and
manufacturer suggests changing it every thirty days.
It has an energy saver feature that will shut off the display after a period of inactivity, but touch any button, and the display will come back on. There is a "pause-n-serve" button that will let you pause the brewing process so you can remove the carafe and pour the coffee that is all ready in it.
The carafe (coffee pot) is a stainless steel, vacuum insulated container, and has a screw on, no spill lid. The lid has a thumb lever that lets you open it to pour the coffee, and then closes when you release the lever.
The insulated carafe keeps the coffee steaming hot, but, remains cool to the touch on the outside. The landing plate is also cool to the touch.
This machine can brew ten cups of coffee in six minutes and keep it hot for hours.
It's well built and easy to program, and it is the same size as other ten cup brewers.
This Mr. Coffee is pricey compared to other similar coffee makers, but the features and durability justify the additional cost.
