Mow N Vac Flymo Lawn Mower*

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

We all enjoy the splendor of a beautifully kept garden, with perfectly manicured lawns, but getting them into that condition can be extremely hard work; but the introduction of the hover mower some years ago, went some way to eliminating that problem.* I certainly was straight in, replacing my old fashioned push model with one of the hovers and have had one ever since.*
Flymo are a leading name and they have now brought out a new and revolutionary design in their Mow n Vac model, which does pretty much what it suggests, that is mow the grass and at the same time vacuum it up.* The first time I saw it I was amazed and thought to myself I have just got to have one.* At just $99 it is a great buy, but probably only suitable for a smallish lawn.*
It naturally comes in the striking orange color that is flymo's recognized brand, and is of a lightweight, single handed design, with a powerful motor, capable of tackling even the most toughest of grasses.* This creation is the easiest way to cut and collect; able to gather up 15 liters of the green stuff.*
It has plastic blades, and comes with a number of spares, but I still have yet to replace one, as they are surprisingly durable.* There is a cable length of 10 metres, so unless the lawn is small, an extension will be required.* There are cutting height adjustments between 10mm and 33 mm, but it is set at the highest upon delivery.*
There are others on the market, and I did use a Bosch hover for a very short spell.* In actual fact it was just one mow, I became more and more frustrated with it cutting out time after time.* For me the flymo is a cut above the rest!
