Using steam to dry clothing is a particularly new technology in the world of washer and dryer systems, and the Maytag Bravos Steam MED6600TQ and MGD6600TQ dryer is one of the best models out there. The steam cycle is meant for getting rid of and preventing wrinkles in clothing that has already been dried. Steam is also great at freshening up clothing if you just want to make your clothes look nice before you leave the house, and also reduces wrinkles. The steam cycle uses a combination of a heat and a water spray to relax the fibres in clothing and get rid of odors that may be lingering in already dry fabrics and clothing.
However, without the steam setting, this is more or less the same machine as the much cheaper models in the Bravos line. With or without the steam, both Bravos models offer sensors, which adjust the dryer settings, and can turn down the heat for you before your clothing becomes damaged. The Maytag Bravos Steam MED6600TQ and MGD6600TQ dryer is a fairly quiet system, and features Maytag's quietest suspension system, the QuietSeries400, which helps tone down vibration. The Maytag Bravos Steam MED6600TQ and MGD6600TQ dryer is also quite large and spacious, making it able to handle larger loads of laundry than other models
There are five different temperature settings that will basically take care of anything you'll find yourself needing to dry, and there are seven different cycles which can take care of the most delicate fabrics, and the most durable.
While the steaming featuring in the Maytag Bravos Steam MED6600TQ and MGD6600TQ dryer is nice, it's definetely a needed technology, but that doesn't mean you should discount it entirely. You might want to take a look at the Maytag Bravos line, which is much cheaper and just as efficient.
