Makita Angle Grinder $100 BGA452

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

The Makita Grinder Model number BGA452 has a 4 ½" grinding wheel and a 11,000 RPM motor which delivers very effective grinding. The grinder is 12 ½" long and weighs only 3.1 lbs with the battery, and the ergonomic grip makes the grinder very easy to grasp and deliver even pressure. While using the grinder on many various car and comprehensive projects, the grinder has always delivered and been very easy to work with and control. It would be nice to have a back grip on the shaft of the grinder. When using the grinder wheel the grinder will kick back quite a bit this is where the back grip would really come in handy. When using the grinder wheel the grinder will kick back quite a bit this is where the back grip would really come in handy. It can also get a little slippery with the sweat of your hands. This grinder has a built in LED warning system to protect it from overload, it will alert you when the 18 VDC battery needs to be changed. Depending on the project the average battery typically lasts 54 watt hours. The replacement of the wheel is convenient with the provided tool. This Angle Grinder has a 4 ½ inch cut off wheel, a 3 ½ inch wire cup brush and a 4 ½ inch sanding disc that are available for this model. One negative aspect of this angle grinder is that the debris guard seems to kick allot of sparks at the operator of this tool, no matter how it's used, or what kind of project you are doing. This has been a very durable grinder it has completed allot of automotive projects with us and never under performed. It has even been left out in the rain and never had a problem.
