When thinking of air conditioners, one thinks of a heavy, bulky, unsafe piece of equipment. Let's face it, traditional air conditioners are a pain, so why not go with mobility?

The Soleus 7,000 is marveled with 3-in-1 technology, meaning it cools you down, fans you, and dehumidifies. This conditioner cools you down very quick with high BTUs. Even though it's portable, it weighs at 65 pounds.

It has a programmable thermostat. The dehumidifier can remove up to 50 pints of water, daily. It has features such as, a dual monitor, remote control, auto-adjusting speeds, and a programmed interface.

It costs around $500.00. Unless you get it on sale, it's not a cheap item. The unit should be set in places where the hot spots are in the house. No doubt, this conditioner can cool down an entire room, perhaps the living room, (if conditions are right, e.g., low-lighting, optimal sunshine, less people in the room).

Things to remember about traditional air conditioners:

1. They can be difficult to install.
2. They're bulky and heavy.
3. They can be an offset to housing decorum.

The downside of portable air conditioners are, they can cost more than the windowed counterparts. They may not efficiently cool down a room. They actually could utilize more space than a traditional air conditioner. Anything portable sucks more energy, regardless of any compliant saver it may in fact have.

All-in-all, this unit has great ratings from various sites. So would I buy this product? More than likely, portable is the way to go. Likewise, it's just a good as any other air conditioner, if not better.
