Kenmore Energy Star Built in Dishwasher 1391 24 inch

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I purchased this dishwasher to replace an older dishwasher than stopped working. It works well and cleans the dishes on the first wash, even without pre-washing. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone.

One feature that I find especially useful is the TurboClean. When using this feature you place dirty dishes on the bottom and more delicate items up top. I find that it can easily remove stuck on food and clean heavy pots and pans while making sure that lids and plastic dishes don't melt.

It is very quiet, which is great since I typically run the dishwasher late at night after people are already in bed. You can hardly notice the sound even when you are only in the other room.

This dishwasher has a unique feature that I haven't seen before. It is called Eco Dry and allows you to let the dishes dry without using a heating element. Supposedly this saves money, but I find that it takes forever for dishes to dry, so I don't typically use this.

The top rack allows you to fold down the tines that are used to hold the dishes in place which allow increased flexibility when washing odd shaped items. It is also removable which can be very useful when needing to wash larger items.

The design is very attractive and it features hidden controls which looks great in the kitchen. The control buttons are hidden up the top of the door under the counter.

There are a few downsides to this dishwasher. I wish that it had a pre-soak feature, which it does not. Also the door can be difficult to close and does tend to stick.

While there are a few problems, overall it is a good dishwasher and I would purchase it again.
