I recently purchased a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer Pro. It's an FDA approved food grade juicer that does everything that you could hope a juicer would. It claimed that you could put the hardest fruits and vegetables in there-- peel and all, and it would juice them and have the peels and seeds waiting for disposal in the bottom which is partly true. I never found peels in the bottom of my juicer, but didn't taste anything funny or off in the juice from having the peel blended in.
The 3,600 RPM motor comes with a lifetime warranty so that if anything goes wrong, you can just send it back and have it replaced. All of the parts are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning and it comes with more than just a juicer warranty. You also receive a Jack Lalanne recipe book for making juices, smoothies, soups, salsas and sauces. This juicer can make all kinds of things, however, do not mistake it for a food processor as there is no attachment to make it so.
This juicer makes great juice, however, the cons for this juicer are seemingly big ones. The waste receptacle comes off regularly if the juicer gets going too quickly. If you don't want peels or pits jamming up your machine, you have to remove them first, and the biggest complaint about this juicer is that it splashes juice all over making a big mess that you have to clean. The feed chute is still rather small so you have to cut your fruit and vegetables down before you stick them in otherwise the feed chute can't take them in. It's not that easy to take a part to clean and it is not as easy as they show on TV. Overall I give this juicer a 3. I was a little disappointed with this overall quality for a first juicer.
