Frigidaire 18.2 cubic foot top freezer refrigerator

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

Last year, our old fridge decided it was time to retire. One day it was working, the next it was not. Of course, when it decided to die, many of the stores in the area were low on stock due to sales that they had been promoting. We were lucky to have found a fridge that fit into the space in our kitchen. We got the very last Frigidaire 18.2 cubic foot top freezer refrigerator in the store.

We had never owned a Frigidaire product before this one but as "beggars can't be choosers", we brought it home. It has actually turned out to be one of the better fridges that we have owned. I have not had to adjust the thermostat once since we bought it and it has gone through two summers now and one winter. It has kept a steady, constant, and appropriate temperature no matter what it is like outside. This is probably the first fridge that I haven't had to check and adjust the internal temperature according to the climate outside.

This fridge is approximately 30 inches wide x 66 1/8 inches high x 29 7/8 inches deep. They call it their SpaceWise Refrigerator as it is not a very big fridge but it does hold a lot of food. The storage capacity is good because the storage set up is very well designed. The freezer also holds a lot more than it looks like it should. The fridge comes in one color only - pearl white with a textured finish. The price is approximately $850.00 with a one-year warranty.

It comes with humidity control drawers for keeping vegetables and fruit fresh for a longer period of time. The drawers are clear so you can see at a glance what is in them, without having to pull them out.

Cleaning this fridge is very easy. The drawers come out, the shelves come out and the storage in the door is large enough that you aren't struggling to get into the corners to clean. There has been absolutely no issues with the freezer, no ice build-up, no need to do anything other than a quick wipe up of any spills.

Overall, in my experience, this refrigerator is good value for the money although reviews from other people have not been so favorable.
