I bought this product because I needed a vacuum for small bits of carpet. I have mostly wood floors, with only splashes of carpet and a few area rugs. I wanted something that would work well but not cost a lot of money and not take up a lot of space.

I chose this vacuum because it was light and relatively small but was, hopefully, not so cheap it didn't work well. I met with only moderate success. This product is small and pretty light, certainly light enough to carry up steps and over to other rooms. It also is quite maneuverable, easy to push, and makes fairly tight corners.

However, there are many problems with this vacuum. The first problem is that the bottom part, the part that actually rolls along the carpet, fell off. The hoses were still connected and the wires weren't loose. But the plastic joints on the side, which allow the top to swing up and down with the motion of the human arm, just came unsnapped. They can be snapped back on with a little jimmying, but this needs to be done almost every time the machine is taken out of the closet.

Besides its questionable construction, there are other issues. I like the fact that it's a bagless because vacuum bags are ridiculous and inconvenient. However, this bagless vacuum looses suction when the dust container is only half full. Until it's emptied well (including picking little bits of hair and clogs of dust from the filter), the vacuum hardly picks up anything at all.

Another problem is that, when the unit is used on the wood floors, the air it releases blows dust and cat hair away from the suctioning part. It ends up creating more mess than it cleans. But when used on carpet and rugs and cleaned extremely well beforehand, it does a credible job for so cheap a vacuum. Just be prepared to pay in personal time and labor what you saved at time of purchase.
