Digital Spectrum MemoryVUE 17-Inch Digital Picture Frame

Rating: 1 out of 5
  • Currently 1.0/5.0

This was a very disappointing product. First of all, the quality of the pictures is not at all up to snuff compared to the price we paid. There were many less expensive options but because this was going to be the only decoration on a large wall, we wanted it to really stand out and we wanted the best. This really isn't the best. The pictures look a little washed out and certainly don't look as nice as they do on my computer screen.

Another issue with this frame is that it comes with a lot less memory than other less expensive models. Initially I was all right with this, as I assumed that it was simply due to the fact that the picture would be of such high quality that they couldn't fit as much memory in. Once I saw how unimpressive the screen was, it became clear that wasn't the case.

Once we had it hung, I was even more disappointed to find out that the AC adapter gets really hot. This is something we'd planned to have going all the time, and with two small kids the heat is definitely a concern.

There are a few good things about this frame though. The remote is a great feature and it has a lot of options. I do like to be able to change the picture while I'm sitting on the couch and telling people about the pictures. It also has an Mp3 player and you can actually have both the pictures streaming and music playing. I've had some fun with this and made some entertaining slide shows. However, overall, for the price this just doesn't do it for me. The quality of pictures should be their highest priority and that clearly isn't the case.
