Purchased two years ago at Home Depot, this sander helped me refinish my bedroom floor. It's a small hand-sander, but since I couldn't manage a big floor sander, this one had to do. For $49.95 it was a good investment and competes with the Milwaukee 6020-21 1/4" Sheet Palm Random Orbital Sander 3A at $40 and the Hitachi Power Tools SV12SG 1/4 Sheet Orbital Finishing Sander, also $40. The build quality is great, with a good heft and is well assembled for durability. This is a neat little machine, black with yellow trim. It comes in a nice plastic box with a handle. It features a 2.4 Amp motor, sands at 14,000 opm, a textured anti-slip top & body grip, a dust sealed switch, a sealed 100% ball-bearing construction, a high capacity dust bag with built in vacuum adapter with or without vacuum, and includes dust bag with vacuum adapter, sandpaper punch and kit box. The design seems to fit my hand well, even though it's a female hand, it doesn't strain me to use it. After a few times of learning how to mount the sandpaper properly, it became easier to do. The sander functions as advertised. Although it took longer, I liked the fact that I couldn't over sand with such a small device. Even though I used it for an extended period, it didn't get hot or stall. Recently, my daughter used it on a concrete floor, and was pleased with its performance. I think it passes the reliability test. The performance is a little wracking, but no more so than a drill. It doesn't leave my hand shaking, but it does leave a residue of sensation for a minute or so. It's quite a good tool to have and I hadn't thought about it until now, but I'm sure it would so a good job of sanding the tops of doors that have warped a little. It is meant to be used for small jobs. When used properly, there don't seem to be any negative points to discuss.
