Delonghi TRD0715T space heater

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The Delonghi TRD0715T space heater is a portable, small heater that can easily be moved from room to room. Originally bought for our garage, it has also been used in almost every room of our house at one point or another. Since some space heaters have been blamed for house fires, I was initially terrified of having one in a house with animals and kids.

This unit comes with an automatic shutoff if it were to be knocked over or if it were to accidentally overheat. I have used the 24 hour programmable timer on a number of occasions, so that a room is warm when we are ready for it. Our electric bill has been lower since we've been using this, and my sister lives in a home with no heat at all. She uses three of these around her home and I would never know that it had no central heat if she had not told me.

It is an excellent value for the price. I believe some people have had a problem with it not heating enough, so I guess if you live in a very cold climate this would not be adequate. We live in Texas, and we rarely see snow, so our needs have been met quite nicely. I'm also pleased to say that it is not as loud as some space heaters that I have had before.

If you live in a very cold area and this would be your main source of keeping your home warm, this might not be the best one for you. If you're looking for something so you don't have to run the heater all day, or to heat an uninsulated room, I believe that this is what you're looking for. I give it 4 stars, and recommend it for limited use.
