Dell Printer 213 OCN

Rating: 2 out of 5
  • Currently 2.0/5.0

I bought the Dell Printer 213 OCN to match my Dell desk top computer. Next time I am in the market for a computer printer/scanner, which may be sooner than later, I will do more research first. I have been thoroughly disappointed with this machine. The toner cost is outrageous compared to other printer toner costs and the machine is quite slow. It takes a while for it to get ready to print. Dell customer service has proven to be very difficult to deal with when a problem arises which is way too often. The color photos do not print well at all. The qualities of the pictures I try to print turn out very blurry and the colors are completely off. The pictures look sort of animated. I have tried using a different kind of photo printing paper and it does not make a difference. Amongst some of the positive qualities is the price. The Dell Printer was certainly one of the cheapest we were considering but I guess I got what I paid for. I am happy enough with the quality of printing when it comes to text and images. These work out just fine once the printer actually catches up to what it is suppose to be doing. I do not recommend this product to any one looking for quality in a printer/scanner. While it is decently priced the quality is just not what it should be and dell customer service is not very helpful. If you are looking for quality you should consider spending a little extra and get a machine that you will actually be happy with. I may shop for a new printer soon and just use the Dell Printer as a back up for when the next one breaks down. My family and I are not happy with the quality of the Dell Printer at all.
