I purchased this food processor about one year ago for $99. I had never owned a food processor so I didn't have anything to compare it to, but immediately understood the value of it in the kitchen. It can take a timely chore such as slicing carrots and do it in seconds flat. It also chops, dices, purees, and mixes. I have used it frequently and the blades are still as sharp as the day I took them out of the box. It comes with four different blades, depending on what you need done. The button allows you to do a steady chop or even a pulsating one. It came with an instruction video, but it was VHS. We only own DVD players now, so the VHS seemed a little out of date. Because of this I had to figure out how to use the machine myself, which didn't take long, but it would have been nice to have had a DVD instruction disc.
The capacity for this model is 7 cups, and has been proven to be plenty for my uses. The base is extremely heavy and does not move at all when you are using it. It has a push sleeve to prevent any type of accidental cutting of fingers. The plastic of the bowl seems sturdy and is easily placed in the dishwasher.
The only drawback to this model is the fact that in one place on the feeder tube it has double plastic and at one time I was shredding lettuce when I noticed a small piece of lettuce got in between the pieces of plastic. It took me a long time to get it out. I didn't notice any cracks so I am unsure how it got there in the first place.
Overall I am very happy with what I got for the price. I would recommend this food processor to anyone.
