Canon EOS 50D 28-135mmIK Kit

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

Whether you are a photo enthusiast or a professional photographer, the Canon EOS 50D 28-135mmIK Kit will fit your needs. This camera boasts 15 megapixels and a ton of features that will impress even the most die-hard professional. Shutter speed is quick at 6.3 frames per second. There are numerous settings for different types of photography as well as manual modes that will ensure total control over the image. Key features to take notice of are the auto focus feature in Live View, the Automatic Lighting Optimizer, and adjustable noise reduction.

I have chosen this camera simply because I feel that Canon is superior to other cameras. I have used Sony and Kodak and was quite pleased with both, but the reliability, quality, and functionality of Canon cameras wins hands-down for me. Also, Canon seems to be the choice of most professional photographers I know.

At $1400 (camera only), this camera isn't cheap, but quality of the camera design and the features that come with the camera make it a worthwhile investment. If you choose to buy the camera with the 28 - 135mm zoom lens, it will cost $1500. The 18-200mm zoom lens with will cost you $2,000. The good news is that your lenses from the previous edition of this camera will work with this camera.

This camera was fairly easy for me to use since my previous camera was also a Canon. You have multiple modes to choose from including an automatic mode for the novice user. A novice user will appreciate the detailed user manual that comes with the camera. Some of the features previous owners of Canon cameras will appreciate are the improvements to noise reduction, the faster image processing time (remember the wait), and enhanced live view. Software that comes with the camera allows you to do digital stitching, control the color profiles of images or to organize downloaded photographs. The camera comes with a one year limited warranty.
