Campbell Hausfeld Prosumer 4000 PSI (Gas - Cold Water) Pressure Washer

Rating: 3 out of 5
  • Currently 3.0/5.0

When I got tired of my trainer pressure washer, a 2500 PSI model, I wanted the next one to have more power. The Campbell Hausfeld was my choice because it has a Honda motor the same as my first one and it was reliable.

My first project was cleaning the driveway, which I had needed to do for four years. I got two five gallon buckets of cleaner and used the low pressure setting to suck the cleaner out of the cans and broadcast it on the dirtiest spots. I let that soak and then changed the pressure and put on a fan tip.

This job was much faster than I thought it would be. I was able to finish in about a half a day and was well pleased with the results. I couldn't tell a lot of noticeable difference in the pressure from this unit and the 2500 just from its operation, but I know it had more pressure, being a 4000 PSI washer.

It didn't take many Saturdays to do several jobs I had been putting off for a long time. The second floor windows were cleaned, I pressure washed both car motors and the cars, and I cleaned the vinyl siding on my father's house.

I like the 50 foot hose which saves moving the washer so much. The Honda motor starts on about the third pull every time so far. This is called a semi commercial pressure washer, and it fits the bill for that.

On the negative side, for the MSRP of $1,399.00, I expected a little more from this unit. It has some power, but it isn't very good at blasting loose paint off the items I tried it on and like my last sprayer, it is erratic pulling in the detergents for cleaning projects.

I can only give this equipment a three star rating, but you might like it fine for what you use a pressure washer for.
