Brother XL6600 sewing machine

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

I bought a Brother XL6600 sewing machine about two years ago to use as a spare for my business. I have not used it very much however for the times that I have used it, I would say it that it is a very good sewing machine. It is very easy to learn, very easy to use and I can set it up just about anywhere I want. It is lightweight and very portable and can be taken with you when you travel. It stores away very nicely with the hard cover that comes with it.

This sewing machine comes with many great features to make your sewing experience easy, especially for the hobbyist. It has 37 stitches from that range from a straight stitch to fancy stitches for fashion décor. It also has a foot for quilting on fabric. I love the automatic needle threading feature as my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. It also features a very easy way of setting the bobbin in place. There is an optional twin needle function, and a common free arm for sewing cuffs and round projects. The automatic buttonhole feeder will save you time and effort when making buttonholes. There is the universal forward and reverse sewing feature, along with a 3-year manufacturer's warranty on all new machines sold.

The Brother XL6600 sewing machine comes with a zig zag foot, buttonhole foot, zipper foot, bobbins, set of needles, a twin needle, screwdriver, an extra spool pin, spool caps and a cover.

I have not found anything that I don't like about the Brother XL6600 sewing machine. For the price, it does everything that I would want it to do, and it does it without any problems. It is not an expensive machine, and does not do anything super fancy, though it does have some of the more common fancy stitches. I bought this model as all that I needed it for was to sew very basic projects. Some of the sewing that I did was in thick layers, and it had absolutely no difficulty going through all the layers.

I paid approximately $265.00 Canadian for my Brother sewing machine. This was approximately two years ago.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this sewing machine and hope to use it for many more years to come.
