Adagio Teas triniTea Electric 32-Ounce Tea Maker

For frequent tea drinkers who want to consolidate and simplify the tea brewing process, this tea maker is a great option.

With an MSRP of $99, this model offers an excess convenience since it eliminates the need for tea kettles, and also features a constant heating option which keeps freshly brewed tea hot for hours. A large degree of customization is available including a brewing timer which can be set for a range of time between two and seven minutes, and has a direct impact on the overall strength of the brew. Two water temperatures are available, making this model perfect for brewing loose leaf teas at varying temperatures.

This tea maker has a 32 ounce capacity and can be counted upon to bring the water to the desired temperature very quickly. Clearly designed with the needs of tea drinkers in mind, the water heats in the top panel, drops down into the lower steeping chamber, and finally into the carafe after it has been steeped for the specified length of time. This 3-step process ensures that each cup of tea has been carefully brewed for optimum taste with each use.

I rely on mine daily and so far it has performed to expectations. However, one thing to note is that the main parts of the unit are constructed of cheap plastic, and I have doubts that its durability can prove itself long-term.

Also, it is not as compact as other models on the market. The handles of the water and steeping chambers come out from the sides, taking up more space than necessary. I hope that this aspect will be improved in future models by allowing the handles to be accessed from the front of the unit.

Even so, this has proven to be a worthwhile purchase.
