The 2009 Accord comes in three engine choices we chose the EX Coupe with 3.5 liter V6 engine that produces 271 hp. I find that the EX has lots of get up and go. It handles like a sports car should with great handling and plenty of torque. As with all Accords the EX comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control. Front and side airbags as well as full-length side curtain airbags. Although it's great that the EX has all these airbags I don't plan on finding out how they work. In government crash tests , the Accord coupe received five perfect stars all around, but for front passenger protection and side impacts protection only 4 stars. Honda has skimped on the interior of the EX leaving lots to be desired. The seats of the EX are a good grade leather but lack comfort with excessive lumbar and extra firm seats. I find my seat going numb after about an hour or two of driving in the EX. We opted for heated seats which are great in our northern climate, warming the leather fairly quickly, which helps when it's below zero. This is the roomiest Accord they have made thus far with plenty of passenger floor space in the coupe. I don't find the dash control panel user friendly at all it looks sharp and almost space ship like, but it is hard to manipulate and figure out when driving. I would recommend prior to driving really learning your controls on the control panel. Visibility in front is great but to reverse you really need to check all angles, you have a huge blind spot in the rear and on the sides as well, this maybe just in the coupe but it is really hard to see what's parked behind you especially if it's a motorcycle. Overall the EX coupe looks amazing from the outside and the interior looks very appealing but the drivers usage and function leaves allot to be desired. So it depends on what you are looking for to look good on the road or to be comfortable on the road.
