The 2008 Triumph Bonneville T100 is one of the most affordable motorcycles within the last ten years. Even those on a budget can afford a nice motorcycle like the Bonneville, which may even improve their budget as gasoline will be cheaper and you will get farther on your buck. With a base MSRP of $8,299, this is one of the most modestly priced bikes on the market. With a manual 5-speed transmission and a 2 cylinder twin parallel engine, this bike is fast.

I give this bike a 4 for overall performance. The disc breaks are able to stop on a dime and the exhaust guide covers mean that I don't have to worry about burns and scars through clothing or skin. The bike is small enough that even the shortest person can ride it alone without help. The locking gas cap is nice as well, a feature that more bikes should have. The gas mileage is great, on one tank of gas, I can easily go anywhere that I want for at least a week and never have to worry about refilling the tank. This bike is very reliable and has never left me stranded.

The Bonneville is a great, inexpensive motorcycle that is perfect for learning on, or any first time bike owner. It is much more inexpensive than a Harley Davidson and more reasonable in the size of the bike. For someone that has never previously owned a motorcycle before, I recommend this bike before getting a more expensive, bigger bike. The bike is made using only premium materials, and looks just like the original bike from the 70s. It never leaks oil, and the center of gravity is perfect for riding around in town. Be prepared to answer all kinds of questions about Triumphs, people will be curious about this bike.
