HiMy remark pertains to paragraph 7.2 "transmitting VRRP packets". Here I think there is confusion is the type of the Router: whether it is acting as the MASTER AND owning the IP address (1), or acting as a MASTER AND currently taking over the failed owner of the IP address (2). Yet , I think that the step "Set the source IP address to interface primary IP address" only applies to case (1), who owns the Virtual Router IP address. In case the VRRP router is actually a previous BACKUP router which is now acting as a MASTER and forwarding IP packets on behalf of the failed master, the step should be instead:"Set the source IP address to Virtual Router IP address" or something like that.
