well er uh excusssee me....But a big part of the strength of the rfc system is that it is accessible to everyone.putting it into postscript places a huge hurdle to that access.  in case you hadn't noticed...  the vast majority of computers in this world do not have software to view postscript.the rfcs have gotten along just fine for many many years and been throughly comprehensible when written in the universal standard of ascii text.  There is no compelling reason whatsoever to change to a format that is inaccessible.  Even worse is to do it on a renegade basis in which a couple of rfcs here and there are inaccessible but most remain in the accepted text format. This pretty much guarentees that most people are not going to read it.I am not going to track down and install a bunch of software just so that I can view this one rfc.  I have better things to do with my time.I am no great lover of PDF but at least it is a widespread standard and most computers do have the software installed (unlike PS).  But I hate the clumsy navigation, lack of search, and lack of easy ability to copy excerpts.  All of which text files support in abundance and are traits that I consider essentiall to the usability of the document. If you insist upon a richer document then put it in html...  that at least is a standard that everyone accepts.  and meets all of the needs of search and navigation and excerpting.Thank You for giving this some thought...-- Erik
