There is no verb "to obsolete". The word "obsolete" is an adjective. So, in the abstract for RFC 2821 do not write that:"It obsoletes RFC 821, RFC 974, and updates RFC 1123 (replaces the mail transport materials of RFC 1123)".Instead, write that:"It makes obsolete RFC 821, RFC 974, and updates RFC 1123 (replaces the mail transport materials of RFC 1123)".Instead, write
