Well done Dave, sometimes simple things work best i.e. my mansion has thick stone walls and wireless LAN just doesn't work - solution? tape the end of a drum of CAT5 to the leg of my 4 year old and send him up the chimney, over the roof and down the other lum - no problem. We originaly tried the LAN via the 240v ring mains, but that ended in tears...
